May 24
In-Person Ceremony

10:20 AM EDT

  • The in-person ceremony will take place on Old Campus with the ceremony beginning at 10:20 AM EDT.
  • Students arrival starts at 10AM EDT. Students should arrive no later than 10:15 AM to get seated before the ceremony begins at 10:20 AM EDT.
  • Once you’ve found your seat, please remain seated. Staff will be onsite at the entrances and around the seating area to help you locate your seat.
  • Didn’t pick up your lanyard (your ticket!) or think you may be non-compliant for COVID? A solutions center table will be located at the High St. Gate entrance.
  • You must be wearing your lanyard. This serves as your ticket. These are given out on May 18 & 19 at Evans Hall and also on the weekend (22 & 23) at the front entrance of Evans Hall. They can also be collected on the day from the High St. Entrance. The number on your lanyard corresponds to your seat, order of names called on stage, and photo with the photographer. Do not switch your lanyard with anyone else.
  • The ceremony will include a welcome from Dean Charles, speeches from our three student speakers, and the official roll call of students attending in-person, where you will walk across the stage and collect your diploma cover. Please remember that your diploma will be mailed out to you around June/July.
  • Students who are able to attend in-person will need to follow COVID testing guidelines in preparation to attending the ceremony. Review the below drop down on this process.
  • The ceremony will be livestreamed for guests and families to watch. The livestream can be found on the main page of this website. No guests will be allowed in-person and staff will be on hand to direct any guests who arrive off of the ceremony site.

May 25
Continuation of Ceremony for Remote Students

  • Remote/virtual students who registered to be acknowledged in the ceremony will receive a Zoom link to attend the ceremony. This Zoom link is personal to you. Do not share it with any other person.
  • Students involved in the online ceremony should arrive on the Zoom link that was provided by 8:45 AM EDT latest. In order to be spotlighted when your name is called, your camera must remain on throughout the ceremony.
  • Students involved in the Zoom ceremony will be asked to rename their Zoom name on arrival to the name they wish to be read out.
  • Along with honoring remote/in absentia students, featured content and speeches will be included in celebrating the Class of 2021.
  • Guests, families, and all of the SOM community are invited to participate by watching the livestream of this ceremony. The livestream will be accessible on this website’s main page.

More On: Your Diploma

  • The official conferral date for your Diploma is June 4, 2021.
  • Diplomas will be mailed out to all students after this date over June and July.
  • If you left your mailing address blank in SIS (which many do as their address is not fixed over the summer), the diploma will not be mailed to you. You can request a diploma via this link at anytime.
  • The Diploma does not show the Management Science concentration. Your official transcript will, however! As soon-to-be Alumni, you can order transcripts through Parchment. More information on this process can be found in the “support” link on the Parchment site.
