Ceremony Information Version 4

There will be two ceremonies this year to honor and celebrate the Class of 2021 at Yale SOM.

May 24 at 10:30 AM EDT | In-Person Ceremony

  • The in-person ceremony will take place on Old Campus with the ceremony beginning at 10:30 AM EDT.
  • Please arrive at Old Campus following signs to the stage area no later than 10:20 AM EDT. Staff will be onsite to help you to your seat.
  • The ceremony will involve speeches from Dean Charles, and our two student speakers, and the official roll call of students attending in-person, where you will walk across the stage and collect your diploma cover. Please remember that your diploma will be mailed out to you around June/July.
  • Students who are able to attend in-person will need to follow COVID testing guidelines in preparation to attending the ceremony. Review the below drop down on this process.
  • The ceremony will be livestreamed for guests and families to watch. The livestream can be found on the main page of this website. No guests will be allowed in-person.

May 25 at 9:00 AM EDT | Continued Online Ceremony

  • Remote/virtual students who registered to be acknowledged in the ceremony will receive a Zoom link to attend the ceremony.
  • Along with honoring remote/in absentia students, featured content and speeches will be included in celebrating the Class of 2021.
  • Guests, families, and all of the SOM community are invited to participate by watching the livestream of this ceremony. The livestream will be accessible on this website’s main page.
